Applications and specifications for Optimont® transfer film

Processing
The printing of the transfer film by screen printing is absolutely unproblematic with any ink system. The transfer of even the finest elements to the most diverse textiles is easy to realize with a short pressing time of a few seconds at a temperature of 140 °C to 165 °C. The transfer film then separates very quickly from the ink.

Format
Our optimont® transfer films are in stock in the following formats and therefore always available very quickly:

350 mm x 500 mm 500 mm x 700 mm 700 mm x 1.000 mm

Special formats are possible, since the transfer films are manufactured directly from large rolls.

Packaging
The optimont® transfer films are safely and dust-free wrapped in PE film. The formats 350 mm x 500 mm and 500 mm x 700 mm are sold in units of 250 sheets each and the larger format 700 mm 1,000 mm in units of 125 sheets.

Special packaging is available on request.

Assistance:

In which areas can the transfer film be used?

The transfer film is perfectly suited for indirect textile printing with screen printing inks.

What is the matt translucent coating needed for?

The matt coating of our transfer film provides a noble matt appearance of the printed image on every garment. The translucency ensures that you can see through the film and position the print image perfectly.

What is the difference between transfer printing and screen printing?

There is no difference between transfer printing and screen printing. The starting point for both processes is screen printing. With direct screen printing, the textile to be printed is clamped in the printing machine in the printing shop and the colour is printed directly onto it. Our transfer foil is used as a medium for indirect textile printing with many advantages over direct printing. The print image on the transfer film can be positioned much better. Printing errors can be detected and sorted out before the transfer to the textile, which means a significant saving of partly expensive end products. The substrates do not have to be transported to the printing house, but can be printed on site at the customers premises, because printed transfers can be sent easily. Transfers in stock can be applied individually to all kinds of textiles with different colours and sizes, so that a retailer does not have to make a decision beforehand, but can produce them himself on demand.

How durable is the transfer film?

optimont® transfer films from optimont can be stored for several years without any problems and can be used even after a long time without any loss of function or quality.

With which colors can the transfer film be printed?

PU water based, Plastisol screen printing inks [Please test silicone and solvent based systems in advance].
