Overhead projector film for photocopiers and laser printers

All of our optimont® copier films and laser printing films are made of heat-resistant BOPET (biaxially oriented PET) and can therefore be used in all common copiers and laser printers, for black and white and color prints. Our copy films have a high transparency, perfect flatness and due to the special surface an excellent toner adhesion, for a perfect projection result with the overhead projector (OHP).

APPLICATIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR OPTIMONT® COPYING FILM

Processing
All copy films & laser printing films can be processed in the single sheet feeder as well as in the batch processing of copiers and laser printers. For copiers and laser printers with an optical sensor for sheet detection, we offer special versions of our copy films to ensure reliable processing on these devices as well.

Format
Our optimont® copy films / laser printing films are cut exactly into the following standard formats with our specially developed format cutting machines: A4, A3.
Other formats such as US-letter and special formats or rolls are also available.

Packaging
We offer the standard formats packed in 50 or 100 sheets in neutral, white slip lid boxes or with your individual brand design.
Smaller packaging sizes can be packed in bags of 10, 20 or 30 sheets.

ASSISTANCE:

What does heat resistant mean?

All our copy films and laser printing films are heat resistant up to at least 200 °C. The melting point of BOPET and thus of our copier films is approx. 265 °C. Therefore, you can use our films in all common copiers and laser printers without the film damaging your machine.

What does BOPET stand for?

BOPET is the abbreviation for "biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate" (biaxially oriented PET). By stretching the polyester on both sides (biaxially) during the manufacturing process, there are several advantages over non-stretched polyester. BOPET is characterized by high tensile strength, chemical, mechanical and thermal stability as well as transparency.                                                                                      This means for the copying film and laser printing film: our films shrink only minimally in both longitudinal and transverse directions during the printing process. This means that the print image hardly warps at all and your printout corresponds to the design on the monitor. This also results in a better flatness of the OHP film on the projector.

What is the difference between copy film and laser printing film?

Copy films are suitable for copiers (black & white copy or color copy, depending on the version). Laser printing films are especially suitable for higher requirements / quality demands in laser printers. However, they are downward compatible, i.e. can also be used in copiers.

Which film is suitable for which device:
copy = copy foil                                                                                                              copy-laser = copy and laser printing foil                                                                         laser = laser printing foil

What is the difference between crystal clear, clear copy film and laser printing film?

The uncoated copy films and laser printing films are crystal clear. Here the toner adhesion is achieved by the micro roughness of the foil.
The specially coated copy films and laser printing films gain some essential advantages through the coating, but lose some transparency. We therefore call them "clear".

What does antistatic mean?

The foils specially coated for toner contain an additive in the coating which prevents the electrical charging of the foils or dissipates it better. This makes it easier to process the films from the stack without blocking.

What is meant by special coating?

Some of our optimont® copy films and laser printing films are provided with a special coating during the manufacturing process, i.e. inline. This enables a better and stronger toner adhesion, i.e. adhesion of the ink on the foil, as well as improved runnability when processing long runs from the stack.
